A drop in transactional activity may be matched, or even exceeded, by a rise in disputes. There has been a huge rise in the number of cases but this is also bringing a need for new approaches to resolving them, meaning lawyers must have more weapons in their armoury. Companies must be prepared to fight, but they must also be open to talk.
