EY Tax Controversy and Aerospace & Defence expert departs for Hogan Lovells

Hogan Lovells has hired Víctor Barrio Aranda as a Tax Controversy senior associate, joining from EY Abogados

Víctor Barrio (pictured) is a specialist in advising and representing clients on Tax Controversy proceedings, including inspections, economic-administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings, and on collection matters (suspensions, deferrals/fractionations). He has special knowledge of the aerospace & defence sector, being a member of the Asociación Española de Derecho Aeronáutico y del Espacio and of the European Center for Space Law of the European Space Agency.

Víctor, who started his practice as a junior at Cuatrecasas, joins Hogan Lovells Madrid office from EY Abogados, where he was a senior manager in Tax Controversy. Prior to the Big Four, he worked as a Tax lawyer at Garrigues for more than six years, from where he was seconded for six months to William Fry in Dublin as a solicitor.

Víctor is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds a Master´s degree in Tax Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues and an executive course on Space Law from the European Space Agency.
