EY Abogados advises Kobus Partners on solar plant project finance

EY Abogados has successfully advised Kobus Partners, an independent investment manager specialized in energy infrastructure, on a project finance agreement for the construction of a 30 MWp photovoltaic plant located in Motril (Granada).

The financing deal was led by Guillermo Crespo Gómez (pictured left), partner in the Banking & Finance department at EY Abogados, with the support of Pablo Aleson Andrés (senior) and Ángel Monje Palenzuela (associate), both from the same department. The firm’s Tax department also provided key support, with Silvia Alonso García (partner, pictured right) and Iñigo Rubio Segurola (manager) advising on tax structuring and implications.

The lender in the transaction was Bankinter, which was advised by Cuatrecasas.

This transaction underscores Kobus Partners’ commitment to advancing the energy transition through the development of clean energy projects and reflects continued investor confidence in Spain’s renewable energy sector.
