EY Abogados advises CaixaBank on €55M financing for Suardiaz

EY Abogados has advised CaixaBank on the €55 million financing granted to Suardiaz, a leading Spanish shipping and logistics company, for the acquisition of the vessel Asturias, formerly known as Viking Amber.

The Asturias will be integrated into the Suardiaz Shipping Lines fleet and operate along the Atlantic corridor, connecting Morocco with Northern Europe. With a cargo capacity of 4,200 CEU, the vessel will enhance maritime transport services for major clients such as Stellantis and Toyota.

This acquisition forms part of Suardiaz’s strategic investment plan to modernize its fleet and reduce environmental impact, in line with the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in logistics.
