EY Abogados advise on the sale of SGEL Libros
EY Abogados has advised the partners of Sgel Libros, a company dedicated to the distribution and publishing of books with more than 8,000 points of sale, in the transfer of said company to Logista Libros, belonging to the distribution company Logista.
With this strategic acquisition, Logistica Libros incorporates editorial funds and adds to its catalog educational books for distribution. Logista thus becomes the largest independent distributor of books in Spain and signs the fifth operation of this type after the acquisition of Speedlink, El Mosca, Carbó Collbatallé and Gramma Farmaceutici.
The teams of the legal, tax and labor area of EY Abogados that have participated in this transaction and that have advised in the negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement have been formed by Francisco Silván Rodríguez, corporate M&A and private equity partner, Araceli Saenz de Navarrete Crespo, tax M&A partner, Raúl García, labor and social security partner, together with the members of their respective teams Elsa Puentes Hernández, Juan Francisco Salanova Martínez and Miguel Prado Agudo, senior managers.
