Eversheds Sutherland advises on the sale of Edwards Lifesciences’ Critical Care products division in Spain
Eversheds Sutherland Spain has advised Edwards Lifesciences on the sale of its Critical Care products division in Spain to the Spanish subsidiary of Becton, Dickinson and Company.
This transaction, in which the Spanish firm has taken part, is part of a larger deal involving more than 100 international lawyers through Eversheds Sutherland’s global network. The team supported Edwards in all aspects of the transaction outside the United States and has been coordinated and led by Wyn Jones, General Counsel and Head of Legal Project Management. It has also been supported by Konexo and its legal project management systems.
The $4.2 billion transaction involved advising Edwards Lifesciences on the sale of its Critical Care product group to Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD).
Edwards Lifesciences is a world leader in patient-centered medical innovations for structural heart disease. The Critical Care product group is an industry leader in advanced patient monitoring with advanced AI algorithms serving millions of patients worldwide.
The operation in Spain has been led by Juan E. Díaz, Corporate partner together with María Isabel González Ojeda and with the collaboration of Claudia García Fernández, Javier Juan Alvarez, Natalia Mejón Rojo, Jose Fernández de Mesa Vargas and Jaime Gordillo.
