Eva Santervás joins Ecija from Deloitte Legal
Ecija has added Eva Santervás as partner to reinforce its financial regulation practice in Spain. Santervás joins from Deloitte Legal, where she spent the last 15 years specializing in financial regulation, advising banks and fintech companies, both Spanish and international, on banking and payment services, electronic money, consumer credit, anti-money laundering and digital assets.
Alejandro Touriño, chief executive officer of Ecija, described the hire as part of the firm’s multidisciplinary growth strategy: “The arrival of Eva allows us to significantly strengthen our offering for the financial sector and bring in a professional of reference in an increasingly strategic area. Her experience in financial regulation and her deep knowledge of the intersection between regulation and technology complement our current capabilities and will allow us to accompany our clients even more comprehensively in their transformation and innovation processes.”

The profile
Throughout her career, Santervás has worked on projects combining regulation and technology, including authorisation processes for new entities, product launches, international expansion and matters linked to crypto-assets, tokenisation, cryptocurrency payments, fan tokens and NFTs. She is also a member of Women in Banking Spain, an initiative promoting greater female representation in leadership positions within the financial sector.
