Escribano raises its stake in technology company Indra to 8%: advisors

Escribano, a Spanish defense and security innovation and technology company, has raised its stake in Indra to 8%. The company, which was already Indra’s second industrial partner after the purchase of 3.4% of its shares last May and which intended to continue growing within the listed company, increases with an additional 4.6% its reference position in the defense sector in Spain.

The operation will contribute to the development of current and future defense programs in which the company is working for both the international and domestic markets. This is the case of its recent establishment in Cordoba, where it will invest 20 million for the production of new technologies for smart ammunition and rocket launchers with the consequent creation of more than 200 new direct jobs of high qualification, not being the only location selected by Escribano to encourage its commitment to territorial cohesion.

Linklaters has advised Grupo Escribano with a team led by Paloma Fierro and Bárbara Victoria González Gutiérrez, with the support of Gonzalo Díaz Monreal and Macarena Sanz González.

Allen & Overy has advised JPMorgan on the sale of the securities to Escribano.
