Empordef advised by Cuatrecasas on sale of EID stake to Cohort
Cuatrecasas advised Portuguese state defence company Empordef on the sale of 23 per cent of the share capital of research and development company Empresa de Investigacao e Desenvolvimento de Electronica (EID) to technology group Cohort.
The deal was valued at €3.9m.
The transaction brings Cohort’s holding in EID to 80 per cent, with the Portuguese government holding the remaining 20 per cent.
The Lisbon-based Cuatrecasas team advising on the deal included partners João Mattamouros Resende, Duarte Abecasis and Lourenço Vilhena de Freitas, counsel Rita Leandro Vasconcelos, and associates Marta Flores da Silva , João Von Funcke, Francisca Sá Carneiro, João Sequeira Sena, Afonso Moucho Diogo and Duarte Peres.
