Ejaso welcomes Silvia Ruiz Moruno as partner in the Media and Entertainment practice

Ejaso reinforces its growth and territorial consolidation strategy with the addition of Silvia Ruiz Moruno as a partner in the Media and Entertainment practice, with a special focus on the Basque Country (Álava, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa) and Navarre.

“The addition of Silvia represents a natural step in our commitment to technical excellence and sector specialised specialization,” says Manuel González-Haba, counsel to Ejaso. “Her experience and regional roots strengthen not only our service offering, but also our ability to support key players in the cultural industries in the Basque Country and Navarre,” says José Ignacio Saldarriaga, partner in the Media and Entertainment practice.

Silvia Ruiz Moruno

Based in Álava, Silvia Ruiz Moruno brings a deep understanding of the business and artistic landscape of both the national and Basque audiovisual sector. Over the course of her career, she has provided legal advisory services to multinational companies, independent production houses, national audiovisual firms, the music industry, advertising agencies, and the arts, combining strategic insight with practical experience. Her work spans from negotiating complex contracts to managing intellectual property and copyright rights, always with a comprehensive vision of the creative ecosystem.

Moreover, as a recognized specialist in intellectual property, copyright, advertising and marketing, privacy, and personal data protection, Ruiz Moruno was honored by the Spanish Professional Privacy Association (APEP) with the “Outstanding Associate 2024” award for her significant contribution to the promotion of the Basque Country Territorial Group.

Reflecting on her new role, Silvia Ruiz Moruno stated: “It is an honor to be part of a legal project that is committed to specialised practice without losing sensitivity to the creative environment. The Basque Country and Navarre have enormous cultural and human capital; producing in our region is in vogue thanks to recently approved tax incentives, which have positioned us as the most attractive place to produce. It is therefore essential to offer production companies rigorous legal support, with experience, sector perspective, and a commitment to transformation.”
