ECIJA has strengthened its Corporate and Capital Markets areas, with Íñigo Zumalabe and Miguel Sánchez as new partners

pjimage 2022 01 11T102349.251ECIJA begins 2022 by reinforcing its Corporate and Capital Markets practice areas, with the integration of Íñigo Zumalabe and Miguel Sánchez. Both lawyers join the firm as partners from Freshfields and Ramón y Cajal respectively.

Íñigo Zumalabe has more than twenty years of experience in M&A, Corporate and Private Equity. After four years as director of the Corporate and M&A Department at Deloitte, and having worked at Freshfields for more than a decade, his practice is focused on M&A, Private Equity, Commercial Contracting, and Corporate advice to administrative bodies of commercial entities.

On his part, Miguel Sánchez has more than fourteen years of experience practicing Law, focused on Capital Markets, Corporate Governance and M&A. After more than ten years at Ramón y Cajal, he has experience in advising listed and unlisted companies in different sectors of activity (Financial entities, Energy companies, Real Estate, Agri-food and Biomedical companies, among others), as well as Investment Banks, in national and international securities market operations, both in regulated and unregulated markets.

Among the stock market operations carried out, highlights include IPOs, public acquisition offers (OPA) in national and international markets, public offers of sale (OPV) and subscription (OPS) under the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), issues of all types of debt securities (such as high yield bonds and green bonds), and admissions to securities trading on the Spanish Stock Exchanges, BME Growth and MARF.

Both lawyers join two teams with a total of 22 partners in Spain and 63 globally.
