ECIJA incorporates Silvia Zamorano as new Compliance partner

ECIJA has strengthened its compliance department with the incorporation of Silvia Zamorano, from Deloitte Legal, as a new partner in the Madrid office. With this move, the firm adds more than 215 partners and more than 1200 professionals to its global structure.

With more than twenty years of experience in providing strategic advice to clients on regulatory compliance and cybersecurity, Silvia Zamorano has a high knowledge of national and international regulations in the field, with special focus on ethics and integrity, criminal liability of legal persons, anti-corruption and prevention of money laundering.

Throughout her extensive professional career, Silvia has acted in processes of integration of regulations in the compliance models for large groups and has vast experience in standardization processes and in the advice and secretariat of CCOs and collegiate bodies of supervision and control. In addition, he has worked in the design and global execution of corporate compliance programs at national and international level, internal risk maps, process and audit flowcharts, internal whistleblower channels, compliance due diligence and third party compliance.

Prior to joining ECIJA, Silvia worked in the opening of the Regulatory & Compliance area at Deloitte Legal, where she has developed her career during the last decade.

Education

With a degree in Law from the University of Malaga and a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and Corporate Legal Consultancy from the University Carlos III of Madrid and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Law from Garrigues & Harvard Law School, Silvia has also developed her teaching skills in the area of Corporate Law.
has also developed her teaching career as co-director and professor of the Master in Sustainability, Good Governance and Compliance at the University of San Pablo CEU and is an associate professor at IEB.

Multidisciplinary growth strategy

ECIJA’s Compliance area is strengthened with the incorporation of Zamorano to the team, which already has 8 partners and more than 20 professionals in Spain.
