Ecija appoints Carlos de la Pedraja as corporate managing director
Ecija has appointed Carlos de la Pedraja as its new corporate managing director. He joins from Ontier, where he held the position of global corporate director. His appointment aims to strengthen the firm’s governance and management structure during its current phase of international growth and consolidation in the digital economy.

With a law degree from the University of Oviedo and postgraduate studies at IE University, De la Pedraja has spent much of his professional career in management positions at IE University’s School of Law, where he served as vice dean and managing director, and at Ontier, where he led international expansion, inorganic growth and cultural transformation processes in his role as Global Corporate Director.
Functions as corporate managing director
With more than twenty years of experience in the legal sector, De la Pedraja joins Ecija with the aim of strengthening its organisational and operational model on a global scale. In his new position, he will work closely with the firm’s president and management in defining and executing initiatives for the firm’s growth and international positioning. His main responsibilities include supporting management in strategic inorganic growth, as well as leading and coordinating the corporate areas.
He will also promote the professionalisation and standardisation of internal processes, fostering operational efficiency and the scalability of the model in the 18 jurisdictions where Ecija currently operates. De la Pedraja will also ensure excellence in talent management, promote the firm’s digital transformation in line with its strategy as a Full AI Firm, and strengthen the communication, business development and international growth strategy.
