Ecija advises on the production of “La Navidad en sus Manos”
Ecija has advised Nadie es perfecto Producciones Cinematográficas, Bowfinger International Pictures and Esto También Pasará in the production of “La navidad en sus manos”, a film directed by Joaquín Mazón, with screenplay by Daniel Monedero and Francisco Arnal and with actors such as Santiago Segura, Ernesto Sevilla , María Botto, Pablo Chiapella and Paulina Dávila in its cast.
“La navidad en sus manos” is an international co-production between the Spanish production companies Nadie es perfecto Producciones Cinematográficas, Bowfinger International Pictures, Esto También Pasará, and La Navidad en sus Manos, AIE and the Mexican production company SDB Films with theatrical release on December 1, 2023. Domestic theatrical distribution will be handled by A Contracorriente Films.
Nadie es Perfecto is led by its producer and founding partner Kiko Martínez with titles to his credit such as “El juego de las llaves” or “Musarañas”. Bowfinger is led by producer and founding partner María Luisa Gutiérrez with titles in its portfolio such as the saga “Padre no hay más que uno” or “Me he hecho viral”. Esto También Pasará is led by founding partner and producer Álvaro Ariza, who has created titles such as “Lobo Feroz” or “De Caperucita a Loba”.
Ecija’s TMT team, led by partner Elena Ordúñez and lawyer José Ignacio Gómez, has participated in the legal advice of the film, accompanying the three production companies throughout the production process, from the hiring of the authorial and artistic team to the closing of the agreements for the marketing and financing of the work, including the achievement of the General Aid on the project granted by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts in the amount of € 1,000,000.
