DWF and Cuatrecasas advise on a real estate joint venture in Cascais

The law firms DWF and Cuatrecasas have advised on a structured joint venture with preferred shares for the development of an exclusive residential complex in Cascais (Portugal), promoted by Prime, a firm with significant activity in the high-end real estate sector in Portugal and Spain.

The project will have an estimated duration of three and a half years and includes the development and marketing of several luxury villas.

DWF assisted Yeldo, a European group specialising in raising capital for institutional real estate transactions, in its investment in the project through a preferred capital structure worth €5 million.

The legal advice was coordinated by the DWF team in Italy, led by Luca Lo Pò, European partner in charge of the financial regulation practice, together with Massimo Breviglieri, counsel at the firm. At the local level, the Portuguese law aspects were handled by Nobre Guedes – Sociedade de Advogados, a member firm of the DWF group, with the participation of partner Luís Nobre Guedes.

On behalf of the developer, Cuatrecasas acted as legal advisor, with a team comprising Nuno Sá Carvalho, Joana Trigo and Rita Guerra Alves, from its Lisbon office.
