Durán-Sindreu expands leadership team with two new Partners

Barcelona-based law and economics firm Durán-Sindreu has strengthened its leadership by appointing two new partners: Fausto Di Pasquale in the financial consulting department and Gabriel Capilla in the public law and urban planning practice. With these additions, the firm now has a total of 11 partners.

Fausto Di Pasquale, previously the director of the consultancy division, is an economist with over 20 years of experience advising public and private entities across various sectors. His expertise spans financial planning, business valuations, strategic and viability plans, corporate restructuring, insolvency procedures, and expert reports. With 13 years at the firm, Di Pasquale also has prior experience as an auditor and consultant at BDO Abogados and as CFO of a public health sector entity in Catalonia.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bologna (Italy) and is certified as an insolvency administrator by the College of Economists of Catalonia and the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB). He is also a certified business valuation expert from the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (FEF), and holds a Master’s in Financial Management from EADA as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing from the College of Chartered Accountants and Auditors of Barcelona.

Gabriel Capilla, newly appointed as a partner in the Public Law and Urban Planning department, has been leading the team as director since joining the firm in 2021. A seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of experience, Capilla served as a senior legal officer in the Generalitat of Catalonia and is currently on leave from the public sector. He also holds the position of Vice President of the Administrative Law Section at the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).

Throughout his career, Capilla has held several key roles, including Secretary General of the Legal Advisory Commission, Director of the Center for Legal Studies and Specialized Training within the Department of Justice, Legal Director of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and Deputy Secretary General at UAB.
