Dourogás Group companies sold to Iberis Capital: advisors

Dourogás Group, a player in the Portuguese gas sector with over 30 years of experience, has sold the entire capital of Dourogás Natural and Dourogás Líquido to Iberis Capital, a Portuguese private equity investment management company. The transaction was advised by CS’Associados, KPMG, and Cavaleiro & Associados.

With the sale of Dourogás Natural and Dourogás Líquido—which include the segments of natural gas for vehicles (NGV), trading of emission certificates, and autonomous gas units (UAGs)—Dourogás aims to focus on the production of renewable gases for industry, states the company. It will also maintain its gas marketing unit serving domestic, service, and industrial segments, continuing a decarbonization agenda. Iberis manages 10 funds with stakes in companies across sectors ranging from aerospace to health-related technologies.

The legal advisors

Dourogás Group was advised in the transaction by a multidisciplinary team involving Cavaleiro & Associados and KPMG, while Iberis Capital was advised by CS’Associados.

Cavaleiro & Associados’ team was coordinated by founders João Quintela Cavaleiro and Pedro Seixas Silva, with participation from Tiago da Rocha Matos and Vitor Furtado Sousa. The KPMG team was coordinated by partners José Luís Silva and Ricardo Cardador. On the buyer’s side, CS’Associados’ team was coordinated by partner Bernardo Abreu Mota, accompanied by Francisco Albuquerque Reis.
