DLA Piper promotes José Marco and Natalia López to partner in Madrid
DLA Piper has strengthened its Madrid office with the promotion of José Marco and Natalia López Condado to partner, as part of the firm’s ongoing strategic growth and commitment to internal talent development. Both previously held the position of counsel in the Finance and Financial Services practices, respectively.
This announcement follows the recent addition of Juan Verdugo as partner and Head of Restructuring, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to expanding its capabilities in the Spanish market.
Jesús Zapata, Country Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Spain, commented: “We are proud to welcome José and Natalia to the partnership and to support them in this key milestone in their careers.”
César Herrero, Head of Finance, added: “Both bring exceptional leadership and deep technical expertise, playing a critical role in the firm’s continued growth.”
With nearly two decades of experience, José Marco advises financial institutions, debt funds, investors, and corporate groups on structured transactions and both domestic and cross-border corporate finance. He focuses on real estate asset financing, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. Marco holds a Law degree with a specialization in Business Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE).
Natalia López Condado joined the firm in 2022 as counsel in the Financial Services group. Her practice spans regulatory issues affecting the asset management industry, private banking, and financial services in Spain. She holds a Law degree from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, an LL.M. from the University of Chicago, and has completed doctoral coursework at Georgetown University.
The promotions are part of DLA Piper’s broader global expansion strategy, which this year includes the promotion of 65 new partners worldwide, reaffirming the firm’s commitment to organic growth and nurturing top talent across its network.
