DLA Piper incorporates new partner

DLA Piper has appointed Andrés Lorrio as partner in charge of its capital markets practice on October 2, reinforcing the corporate department led by José María Gil-Robles.

Andrés has over 25 years of legal experience and advises clients on securitisation, structured finance, debt issuances , M&A finance, secondary trading and capital markets. He is recognized as a leading lawyer in Spain for financial derivatives.

His clients are primarily global banks, hedge funds, investment advisers and other companies. He also advises corporates who are using complex investment products to structure acquisitions.

Jesús Zapata, country managing partner for DLA Piper in Spain, commented: “Andrés will bring valuable Capital Markets experience to the Corporate team in the Madrid office and will broaden the offering to our clients. We very much look forward to him joining us.”
