DLA Piper advises on the sale of Heidelberg Materials’ aggregates business to Cemex Spain
DLA Piper has advised Heidelberg Materials on the sale of its aggregates business in the Madrid region to Cemex España. The German cement group is pursuing a strategy of selective divestments in Spain, with the advice of DLA Piper, starting in 2021.
The DLA Piper team in Spain that participated in the transaction was led by corporate partner Joaquin Echánove, and comprised Luis Borrero, legal director, and Ana Izquierdo, associate, all from the same department. Joaquín Hervada, partner in charge of competition, together with Rafael Maldonado, senior associate, advised on the relevant competition law aspects of the transaction.
