DLA Piper advises Gunvor on the acquisition of a 75% stake in a Spanish power plant from bp
DLA Piper has advised Gunvor Group (Gunvor), a leading independent global energy trading firm, on the acquisition to bp of a 75% stake in Bahía De Bizkaia Electricidad (BBE), a 785 MW combined cycle power plant located in Bilbao, Spain.
The agreement has received approval from all relevant regulatory bodies.
The firms team advising Gunvor on this transaction was led by Joaquín Echánove, partner in the corporate/M&A department, together with associates Marcos Gil and Mariano Renedo, among others.
