Devesa launches New Art Law Division with Ana Suárez Gisbert

Devesa Law Firm has announced the establishment of its new Art Law division, led by Ana Suárez Gisbert, who brings over 25 years of experience as a lawyer, expert witness, and foreign trade technician to the firm.

The Art Law division will offer comprehensive services, including estate and wealth management, patronage, tax law, commercial law, and litigation. The team will provide expertise in art cataloging and valuation, drafting wills and legacies, establishing foundations and associations, optimizing tax strategies for art collections, negotiating contracts, buying and selling artworks, intellectual property, and copyright protection.

Ana Suárez is renowned for her skills in drafting expert reports, appraising and cataloging artworks and antiques, verifying the authenticity of art pieces, and advising on art-related matters.

With extensive international experience, Suárez has studied and worked in France, Germany, Belgium, and the United States. She holds a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master’s in Museology, a Master’s in European Union Law and International Relations, and training in foreign trade and business coaching. Additionally, she has specialized in art and decorative arts appraisal in Spain and at the esteemed Hôtel Drouot auction house in Paris.
