Denae appoints Paula Ortiz as its first managing director
The Association of Digital and Entertainment Law Lawyers (Denae), in Spain, has announced the appointment of Paula Ortiz as its first managing director. This appointment marks a milestone in Denae’s trajectory, as the association celebrates its 16th anniversary this year. The creation of this role stems from a strategic decision by the Board to professionalise the association’s management and to adapt its structure to the rapid transformation taking place in the digital law and entertainment sectors, states the association with more than 600 members.
Paula Ortiz, a lawyer and executive with a background in digital law, will lead this new phase. Her experience combines a decade as spokesperson for institutional affairs in the digital advertising industry with her previous role as an adviser on international relations at the Spanish Data Protection Agency, a profile she complements with academic activity as an associate professor at IE University.
Juan Antonio Orgaz, president of Denae, states: “Creating this position is a qualitative leap and a strategic decision. We are not only professionalising internal management, but also strengthening Denae’s influence and the direct service we provide to each of our members.”
“My aim is to work with the board and with every member to consolidate DENAE as the essential knowledge and networking hub of the sector. At the same time, our mission will be to channel the expertise of our members into dialogue and collaboration with the key actors in the legal profession and the industry”, states Paula Ortiz.
