Deloitte Legal: Antoni Companys to lead the environment practice

Deloitte Legal boosts its Environmental Law department with the incorporation of Antoni Companys (pictured) as the new director responsible for this practice of the firm.
Antoni Companys has extensive experience in advising companies and public bodies on regulatory and environmental issues and has been involved in all types of administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings related to environmental issues.

Companys comes from Uría Menéndez and has a long track record in advising industrial companies, credit institutions and public sector bodies on environmental regulation, particularly in relation to environmental liability, circular economy and environmental taxation.

In the words of Nicolás de Gaviria, managing partner of Deloitte Legal, “We are very excited about the incorporation of Antoni. His appointment means the strengthening of one of the key areas of the firm such as sustainability, where our multidisciplinary approach allows us to offer a unique experience to our clients in such a relevant aspect in their corporate strategy as achieving the highest quality standards in the ESG field”.

The arrival of Antoni Companys to the firm’s sustainability area, coordinated by partner Ignacio Ortiz del Río, is in addition to the recent recruitments made by Deloitte Legal with the incorporation of Luis Carlos Moya as partner in charge of the compensation and benefits practice and Begoña Segovia, new partner of the tax department in the northern area.
