Deloitte Legal advises Grupo Gargallo on Casa Lit hotel purchase

Deloitte Legal in Spain has advised Grupo Gargallo on the purchase of the Casa Lit hotel in Barcelona from the joint venture created by Stoneweg and Bain Capital. The transaction involved teams from legal, tax, labor, and transactions areas, according to Deloitte. Cuatrecasas has acted as the legal advisor for Stoneweg Hospitality and Bain Capital.

The Casa Lit Barcelona hotel

The Casa Lit Barcelona hotel, located in the Raval neighborhood, was built in 2010 in the former Colón theaters building. The establishment, which has 89 rooms, was acquired in 2022 by Stoneweg and Bain from several family offices, including Camí, Vallès, and Costafreda, for about 20 million euros. Since 2022, Stoneweg Hospitality has renovated the establishment and created the Casa Lit brand. Until now, the hotel was operated by the Ona Hotels chain. With this purchase, Grupo Hotelero Gargallo now owns 11 hotel establishments in the city.
