Deloitte Abogados advises Grupo Antolin on Magna International deal

Deloitte Abogados advised Spanish automotive supplier Grupo Antolin on the acquisition of the car-interiors business of Canadian auto-parts maker Magna International.

The deal involved the acquisition of 36 manufacturing operations in 11 different jurisdictions in Europe, North America and Asia, and about 12,000 employees.

Total sales for the operations included in the agreement were around $2.4 billion last year.

The combined businesses had global sales of more than €4 billion in 2014, and a workforce of around 28,000 employees.

The multijurisdictional Deloitte Abogados team working on the deal included Madrid-based partners Francisco Mayor and Fernando Aranda, as well as senior associates Carmen Masa and Pilar Paris, who coordinated the legal and tax aspects of the transaction.
