Cuatrecasas advises Cajamar on Crédit agricole deal
Cuatrecasas has advised Grupo Cajamar on the investment by Crédit Agricole in Banco de Crédito Social Cooperativo, the parent entity of the Cajamar Group, as well as on the commercial alliance agreed between the two banking groups.
The transaction marks a strategic milestone for both institutions, combining Crédit Agricole’s investment in the head entity of the Cajamar Group with a broader commercial partnership designed to strengthen cooperation between the two banking groups, states the law firm.
The mandate involved advising on the corporate aspects of the investment and the structuring of the alliance, reflecting the increasing relevance of cross-border partnerships in the European banking sector.
