Cuatrecasas advises on the refinancing of Atresmedia’s €175m sustainable syndicated corporate loan
Cuatrecasas has advised Grupo Atresmedia on the refinancing of its €175 million syndicated corporate loan linked to sustainability criteria.
CaixaBank acted as the lead arranger for the transaction. BBVA and CaixaBank acted as co-arrangers for the sustainability portion, with BBVA serving as sustainability agent.
The syndicated financing is linked to the performance of three environmental indicators: advertising space provided free of charge to non-profit organisations; accessibility to television content through sign language; and incorporation of suppliers’ carbon footprint, which is key to the overall calculation of the Group’s emissions.
The firms team that participated in this transaction was led by lawyers Manuel Follia, Cristina Poy and Antonio Ridao from the Financial Group.
