Prosolia Energy acquires solar projects in Spain: advisors
Cuatrecasas has advised Prosolia Energy on the acquisition from EDP Renovables España of a portfolio of five photovoltaic solar energy projects in Spain (Andalusia and Castilla y León), with an installed capacity of 229 MW and fully backed by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs). Pérez-Llorca advised EDP on this operation.
Cuatrecasas’ team advising on this transaction, the largest carried out by Prosolia Energy to date in terms of installed capacity, was made up of Marcos García and Alfonso Coronel de Palma, from corporate M&A; Agustín Cerdá and Íñigo Várez, from finance; and Alejandro Bonitch and Irene Ortega, from public law.
On Pérez-Llorca’s side, the team was made up of Dídac Severino, partner, Borja Gil-Casares, Roberto Funes, Tomás Pelayo, and Beatriz Olivares, from the corporate department; Ana Cremades, Belen Wert, partners, and Sol Sepúlveda, from the regulatory department; and Beatriz Álvarez Mallo, planning and environment lawyer.
