Cuatrecasas advises on Ona Therapeutics’ €74.2M round
Cuatrecasas has advised Columbus Venture Partners and Mérieux Equity Partners on their participation as co-lead investors in the Series B funding round of Ona Therapeutics, a Barcelona-based biopharmaceutical company focused on developing antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) targeting resistant cancers. The oversubscribed round raised a total of €74.2 million.
The two co-lead investors join a group of other investment partners in the company at a pivotal stage of its development. The proceeds will be used to advance the clinical development of Ona Therapeutics’ lead programme, ONA-255, an ADC targeting breast cancer, and to push ONA-389, an ADC directed at colorectal cancer, toward its first-in-human studies. ONA-255 is specifically designed to address treatment-resistant tumour biology, while ONA-389 is intended to broaden Ona Therapeutics’ product portfolio and strengthen its long-term research potential.
