Cuatrecasas advises Concentra on Obimedia deal

Cuatrecasas advised Grupo Concentra, an insurance brokerage based in Spain and owned by French private equity firm Blackfin Capital Partners, on its acquisition of Obimedia, a Portugal-based insurance intermediary focused on workplace accident and multi-risk coverage. The transaction forms part of Concentra’s strategy to expand its footprint across the Iberian Peninsula, with particular emphasis on strengthening its presence in the Portuguese market.

The integration is expected to allow Obimedia to broaden the range of solutions and services it offers to both individual and corporate clients. Obimedia currently provides personal insurance products covering motor vehicles, accidents, civil liability, travel and life, as well as corporate insurance for more complex lines such as public works, credit and cargo. The company’s existing managing partners will remain in place, with the current team and operating model set to be preserved following the deal.
