Cuatrecasas acts for Adapttech on €2m funding round

Cuatrecasas’ Porto office advised Portuguese biomedical technology start-up Adapttech on a €2 million investment round.

Investors included venture capital fund manager British Mercia Fund Managers and Hovione Capital, which specialises in seed capital investment in health and life sciences businesses.

Adapttech has developed a tool that makes the fitting of lower limb prosthesis easier and which is used by healthcare professionals when supporting and monitoring patients during the rehabilitation process.

The Cuatrecasas team that advised Adapttech included Porto office managing partner Filipe Avides Moreira, and associates João Regadas and Francisco Sequeira.
