CS’Associados unveils renovated offices on its 15th anniversary

To mark its 15th anniversary, CS’Associados undertook a major renovation of its offices on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon. “Our new space is now more modern, sustainable, and designed to foster collaboration while creating a welcoming atmosphere,” states the firm. The renovation, designed by Portuguese architect Ricardo Bak Gordon, features an open layout with extensive use of burel, a renewable artisanal material made from wool sourced from the Serra da Estrela.

“Fifteen years ago, we knew that the goal of the office was to be an elite office, and indeed, the space contributes to that. This question arose again, and that’s why we chose to stay in this space, making renovations that would allow us to work in a way more adapted to modern times”, says Bernardo Abreu Mota, partner. According to him, the new space promotes more interactivity between teams and a greater experience of the office.

Mafalda Ferreira, partner, points out that the new CS office also meets current demands in terms of environmental considerations and space utilization at work. “A whole new and innovative dynamic emerged from an ESG perspective, which is here to stay”, she assesses.

For architect Bak Gordon, the modernist building where the office is located is an icon and already has an open space potential that was extensively explored. “Moreover, we are at the top of the avenue; we can almost say that we are flying over the city itself. What we did was look at this space and the virtues it already has”, he explains. The ceilings are a major reference and differentiator, designed as a track where all infrastructures are integrated. “In the gaps between each track, we will have chromatic acoustic ceilings with very beautiful colors, covered in Borel, which will give a very comfortable and elegant atmosphere to the workspace.”
