Cristina Esteve promoted to partner in Freshfields
Freshfields has announced the appointment of Cristina Esteve, until now counsel, as a new partner in the Madrid office. Her appointment is part of the promotion of 25 partners effective May 1, 2025.

Esteve, until now a cousel of the firm, has been with Freshfields for more than 20 years. The new partner specializes in domestic and international financing transactions of all types, including leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance and corporate finance.
She has extensive experience in banking and finance advisory and restructuring and has been involved in numerous restructuring and insolvency matters, including complex corporate restructurings. He has advised banks, alternative capital providers, sovereign wealth funds, private equity funds and corporates (from investment grade to highly leveraged) on a wide range of transactions across the financing spectrum and industry sectors. He combines in-depth local knowledge with cross-border experience in global transactions.
