CMS Spain promotes five lawyers to counsel

CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has promoted Eva Ceca, Ignacio Cerrato, Marta Lalaguna, Irene Miró, and Emilio Moyano to counsel

Eva Ceca specialises in Employment and Social Security Law with experience in providing recurring Employment advice to national and international companies, as well as in collective dismissals, substantial modifications of working conditions, senior management, company policies and judicial proceedings. She joined the firm in 2016 from Hogan Lovells. She holds a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE. She has taught on the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession and the Master’s Degree in International Law at ISDE.

Ignacio Cerrato specialises in Commercial Law, focusing his practice on Mergers & Acquisitions, and also has extensive experience in Corporate Governance and Corporate Restructuring, advising both national and international clients in a wide variety of sectors. He joined the firm in 2009, where he has developed his professional career, having been part of the Corporate & Private Equity team in CMS’s London office during 2018. He holds a degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In addition, he teaches on the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, as well as on the double degree in Law and Business Administration and Management and Law and Political Science and Public Administration at the same institution.

Marta Lalaguna specialises in Litigation and Arbitration, having participated in and directed proceedings in Civil, Commercial and Corporate matters of relevance, either because of the amounts involved or because of the consequences of the decisions obtained, both for her clients and for certain business sectors. She is an arbitrator, mediator (licensed by CEDR and registered in the Registry of Mediators of the Ministry of Justice). She teaches on the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Together with Ignacio Astarloa and José María Rojí, of counsel and partner of the firm respectively, she promoted the creation of the firm´s Mediation area last year. She joined the firm in 2017 from Cuatrecasas. She holds a degree in Law, with the mention “Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera,” as well as a degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Valencia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy (LL.M) from the Instituto de Empresa.

Irene Miró specialises in Commercial Law, with extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Law, Corporate Restructuring processes, Commercial contracts and Corporate Governance, having advised both national and international clients in this field. Irene joined the firm in 2011, where she has developed her professional career. She holds a degree in Law and a degree in Business Administration and Management from ICADE.

Emilio Moyano specialises in economic Criminal Law, providing advice, prosecution and defence services to companies and individuals before all types of criminal courts and tribunals. He has extensive experience in the area of criminal liability of legal persons, to which he has devoted special attention in his postgraduate studies. He joined the firm in 2017 from Ramón y Cajal. He holds a Law degree from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy (LL.M) from the Instituto de Empresa, and a postgraduate degree in Compliance from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Universidad Pompeu Fabra. He has been a lecturer in Philosophy of Law, Legal Theory and Human Rights at the Carlos III University of Madrid and a substitute judge in the courts of the Canary Islands, mainly in the Criminal jurisdiction.
