CMS Portugal appoints three new partners
CMS Portugal has strengthened its team of partners with António Magalhães e Menezes in public law, Henrique Peyssonneau Nunes in employment law & pension funds, and José Manuel Silva Nunes in real estate.
António Magalhães e Menezes has 15 years of experience and works in administrative law, with a particular focus on public procurement, construction, administrative litigation, and arbitration. He has extensive experience providing general and contentious legal counsel to various public and private entities, particularly in public procurement, and has been involved in numerous complex projects in the energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors.
Henrique Peyssonneau Nunes leads the immigration practice, overseeing all visa and residence permit processes as well as international relations in employment-related legal advisory services for companies and individuals on immigration matters. He also has extensive experience in employment law and litigation, being part of the labor litigation team and representing companies in dismissal disputes, wage claims, and other employment-related legal proceedings.
José Manuel Silva Nunes, who joined CMS Portugal in 2022, primarily works in real estate law, construction, and private law, particularly in the development and sale of tourism and real estate projects of various kinds. He provides legal support to companies in the real estate and financial sectors, advising on the sale of properties resulting from credit recovery and resolving issues related to the implementation and management of single and multi-tenant buildings.
“CMS Portugal continues to grow, and the promotion of these three lawyers to partners is proof of that. António and Henrique, who have built their entire careers at CMS, demonstrate that we are a firm that values those who choose to grow with us. Meanwhile, José Manuel, who joined CMS in 2022, is a great example of someone who has integrated exceptionally well. Congratulations to all three”, says José Luís Arnaut, managing partner of CMS.
