CMS Portugal advises Open Cosmos on Connected acquisition
CMS Portugal has advised the British company Open Cosmos on the acquisition of Connected, a Portuguese startup specializing in data transmission solutions from space. Connected will now become a business unit dedicated to IoT connectivity at Open Cosmos, and its 22 employees will join the 18-person team that the British company already employs in Portugal. The British company develops, builds, and operates complete satellite missions.
On this deal, CMS Portugal relied on a team led by corporate M&A partner João Caldeira, which also included senior associate André Guimarães and associate Ana Rita Santos.
