CMS Portugal advises ActiveCap on acquisition of Zumub assets

CMS Portugal has advised ActiveCap, a Venture Capital Fund management company, on the acquisition of Zumub, one of the main players in the Food Supplements and Sports Nutrition sectors

CMS Portugal’s Corporate team, led by partners Francisco Xavier de Almeida and João Caldeira, was coordinated in this operation by Tiago Valente de Oliveira (pictured left), coordinating associate and supported by André Guimarães (pictured right), associate in the same area. This transaction involved a multidisciplinary team of lawyers in different areas of expertise, namely Public Law, TMC – Technology, Media & Communications, Intellectual Property, Labour Law and Real Estate.

ActiveCap is a Venture Capital business specialising in investing in Portuguese companies with high growth potential. Zumub is a Portuguese company that generates around 90% of its revenues through e-commerce. This investment will allow it to consolidate its position in the domestic market, as well as strengthen it in other European markets through investment in technology, innovation and marketing.
