CMS implements Harvey in more than 50 countries

CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has decided to implement Harvey, the leading generative AI tool in the legal sector, globally, taking another step forward in its commitment to innovation and technology. And it is no coincidence: an internal analysis shows that 93% of those already using it have improved their productivity, saving an average of more than 117 hours per lawyer per year.

Jane Challoner, Head of Innovation, Knowledge and Training at CMS, adds: “We focus on innovating to make a real difference for our clients. Deploying Harvey across all CMS offices and integrating generative AI into the core of how we work allows us to amplify the experience and knowledge of our lawyers, so we can focus on what really matters: tackling complex challenges and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Largest number of licences in EMEA

With this agreement, CMS becomes the law firm with the largest number of licences in the EMEA region to date. This new phase will make Harvey available to all 21 CMS member firms in more than 50 countries, giving more than 7,000 lawyers and professionals access to AI-based tools.

The implementation of Harvey has already demonstrated substantial benefits for CMS and its clients. An internal analysis shows that 93% of users have reported productivity improvements equivalent to more than 117 hours saved per lawyer per year. ‘These gains allow us to alleviate lower value-added workloads, offer more competitive prices and maintain profitability,’ the firm explains.

Winston Weinberg, CEO of Harvey, said: “We are proud to have CMS as a client and to see their commitment to providing all their lawyers and professionals with access to our AI tools. Their commitment reflects true leadership in innovation and a drive to stay at the forefront of delivering the best work to their clients.
