CMS hires Borja Vázquez as new counsel
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has hired Borja Vázquez, from Ashurst, as new finance counsel.
He has extensive experience in the financial sector. He has worked at firms such as Merrill Lynch, both in Madrid and London. In the financial and banking department as an associate at Araoz & Rueda Abogados and later at the firm Broseta. In the last stage of his career, before joining CMS, he also worked as counsel in the financial department at Ashurst.
Borja advises banks, financial institutions, funds and companies on all kind of finance transactions (such as debt restructurings, NPLs, acquisition, leveraged, asset and corporate finance), both domestic and international.
He workes with clients from different industry sectors and he has also advised on pre-insolvency debt restructurings, on the investment in distressed assets and acquisition of non-performing debt portfolios, and on corporate rescue financing.
