CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo incorporates two new partners
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has approved the incorporation of Alejandro González, former counsel of Hogan Lovells, as partner in the banking & finance area and Pablo Gutiérrez, former partner of Garrido, as new partner in the labor area.
For César Albiñana and María González Gordon, co-managing partners: “we are incorporating two professionals who come backed by their excellent legal skills and to strengthen two strategic and growing areas, which allow us to respond to the demand for increasingly complex matters in strategic sectors. “
Alejandro González
Alejandro González has more than 15 years of experience in leverage buy-out transactions, corporate restructurings, refinancing and securitizations. Alejandro González has advised leading companies and banking and financial institutions in major transactions. He has also been a professor of the Master in Insolvency at the Universidad San Pablo CEU and of the Master in Access to the Legal Profession at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He comes from Hogan Lovells, where he was counsel in the banking & finance area, and has also worked in other law firms such as Garrigues or Uría Menéndez.
Gonzalez joins the firm to strengthen the Banking & Finance area, in the restructuring, bond issuance and securitization practices. This area is led by Alberto Mata Rodríguez, partner in charge of the department, who joined last year and includes the regulatory practice with partner Ricardo Plasencia.
Pablo Gutiérrez
Pablo Gutiérrez joins the firm to reinforce the strong growth of the Labor and Employment practice. Pablo is a State Attorney on leave of absence and has been coordinator of the Social Department of the State Attorney General’s Office. Likewise, his professional career in the Public Administration has been linked to the performance of contentious -in all jurisdictions- and advisory functions, in addition to assuming the coordination of the legal assistance of various public entities and companies. Since 2021, he has held the position of partner at Garrido Law Firm, from where he joins the firm.
He joins CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo to reinforce an area in expansion in the firm, which is led by partner César Navarro, and which globally has more than 600 lawyers.

These additions join the recent appointment as new partners of Elena Alcázar, in the area of Corporate / M&A and Juan Moreno, in the area of Public Law and Regulated Sectors, all included within the lines of the new Strategic Plan 2024-2026 of CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo.
