CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo advises Playtomic on its €65 million financing round
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has advised Playtomic, a leading digital platform for booking racket sports, on its latest €65 million financing round. With this transaction, Playtomic expects to capture business in an emerging market in the world of padel, such as the United States, and also to invest in improvements to the platform and its technology.
The firm has accompanied Playtomic throughout the financing process; in its external financing agreement with Banco Santander and in relation to internal financing, in the development of investment contracts, one for each approved capital increase.
The transaction has been led, from a legal point of view, internally by Diego Montoya C., Corporate counsel manager of Playtomic, and externally by the partners, Alfonso Codes, Public Law and Regulated Sectors; Alberto Mata, Banking & Finance; and Carlos Peña, of counsel, Corporate/M&A.
In addition, counsel from the Banking and Finance area Borja Vázquez and lawyers Rodrigo Urosa, from the Banking & Finance area, Pedro Pablo Angosto and Nuria Marés, from the Corporate/M&A area, also participated.
