CMS advises on the acquisition of Gamesa Electric’s power electronics business
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo advises ABB on the acquisition of Gamesa Electric’s power electronics business, part of the Siemens Energy group.
The acquired business has a presence in Spain, China, India, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Through this acquisition, ABB strengthens its presence in Spain and gains key capabilities for the renewable energy market.
The transaction was led by Corporate/M&A partners Luis Miguel de Dios and Irene Miró. Also involved were Corporate/M&A lawyers Marella Gómez-Barreda and Nuria Marés; Public Law partner Juan Moreno and lawyers Paula Espinosa and Ana Sánchez-Valdepeñas; as well as Covadonga Maestro from the IP & Digital Business practice.
