CMS advises Atlas Copco on the acquisition of ABC Compressors

CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo advises Atlas Copco on the acquisition of ABC Compressors advises the Swedish listed company Atlas Copco on the acquisition of the Spanish compressor manufacturer ABC Compressors.

ABC Compressors has plants in Spain and China, as well as sales outlets in countries such as India, Mexico and the United States, and recorded revenues of approximately €84 million in 2024. Its more than 300 employees will become part of the Atlas Copco group.

With this acquisition, Atlas Copco strengthens its leading position in the global market for the manufacture, distribution and installation of compressors.

CMS participated in structuring the transaction; the legal and tax due diligence process; drafting and negotiating the main contracts and ancillary documents for the transaction; and assisting with the signing and closing. The transaction was led by Corporate/M&A partner Ignacio Cerrato, together with senior associate Macarena Méndez and lawyer Paula Zafra, from the same area; Litigation partner Luis Vidal; partner Carlos Vérgez, senior associate Aida Oviedo and lawyer Eduardo Crespo, all from the Competition area; and partner in the Tax area, Ricardo Héctor, and associate Isabel Montes; and lawyer Antonio Negueruela, from the IP and Digital Business area.
