CMB steers Diego Costa´s contract termination

CMB Advogados has assisted the player on closing the deal that frees him from the Atlético de Madrid

CMB partner Ricardo Cardoso (pictured) advised Diego Costa on closing the agreement that frees Diego Costa to get a new team.

The contract between the player and his former team, Atlético de Madrid, will end on June 30, 2021, but on December the player asked for the contract termination due to personal reasons.

At first, the team asked for €25 million compensation if Costa would sign for a direct rival. After some negotiations and a downgrading of the hypothetical compensation asked by Costa’s lawyer, both parts closed the agreement to free the forward.
