Clifford Chance advises Telefónica SA on the acquisition of BE-terna GmbH
Clifford Chance has advised the Spain company, Telefónica SA, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the German company BE-terna Acceleration Holding GmbH and its subsidiaries.
Telefonica SA is an Spain based integrated firm specialized in the telecommunication sector, providing communication, information and entertainment solutions, with presence in Europe and Latin America.
On the other side, BE-terna GmbH, is a Germany-based provider of business software solutions for enterprise resource planning (ERP), business intelligence (BI) and customer relationship management (CRM).
By this deal, Telefonica informs that its subsidiary Telefonica Cybersecurity & Cloud Tech, SLU has reached an agreement with certain investment funds managed by Deutsche Private Equity GmbH for the acquisition of all the shares of the German company BE-terna Acceleration Holding GmbH and its subsidiaries.
The amount for this deal was EUR 350 million, including earnouts.
Clifford Chance advised Telefónica with a team formed in Madrid by partner Miguel Odriozola (pictured) and from Germany the Corporate Partners Stefan Bruder, Simon Schmid and the Antitrust Partner Dimitri Slobodenjuk.
