Clifford Chance advises on the acquisition of the management company and the launching of Fund III

Clifford Chance has advised Artá Capital executives on the acquisition of the management company and the launching of Fund III, which has achieved €305 million in the first closing.

The multidisciplinary team that advised on the transactions was led by partners Javier Amantegui and
Ildefonso Alier, working with associates Aina Gómez and María Viñas. They were also supported by
Roberto Grau, Jorge Martín-Fernández and Sandra Bazin during the different stages of the process.

Artá Capital has acquired the stake of the management company owned until then by Corporación Financiera Alba. The share capital of the company is now held entirely by its management team, led by Ramón Carné, Nicolás Jiménez-Ugarte, Jaime Alba and Juan Ybáñez.

Clifford Chance has also advised Artá Capital on the establishment and launching of Fund III – the first
as an independent investment management company –, with a target size of €400 million (reaching
€305 million in the first closing) and an investment strategy focused on mid-market companies.
