Clifford Chance advises on senior secured 1.7b financing granted to Gestamp Automoción
Clifford Chance has advised the global coordinators, arrangers, bookrunners and lenders on the senior secured financing for an amount of 1.7 billion euros granted to the developer and manufacturer of metal automotive components Gestamp Automoción.
The multijurisdictional team was led by global financial markets partner Emma Folds (London), together with counsel María Luisa Alonso, associate Marta Martínez and trainee Juan de Dios Vílchez on the spanish side, as well as associates Charlotte Holt, Angus McWhirter and Mohammed Ghuas from the London team.
Gestamp is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of components and assemblies for the main automobile manufacturers. It specializes in the development of products with an innovative design to achieve increasingly safer and lighter vehicles and, therefore, better in terms of energy consumption and environmental impact.
The company works with the world’s leading manufacturers to find solutions for reducing vehicle weight. It also seeks to improve safety in the event of a collision in all its product lines: bodywork, chassis and mechanisms. Thus, the 16 largest automotive groups in the world rely on Gestamp to equip more than 800 vehicles with components manufactured by the Spanish company.
