Clifford Chance advises Esteve on the sale of its generics drugs division

Clifford Chance advised Esteve on the sale of its generics drugs division to Towa Pharmaceutical for €320 million

This platform led by Pensa Investments, which operates in Europe and the US, has its main asset in the manufacturing plant in Martorell (Barcelona).

According to the firm, this deal presents a step further for Esteve in the implementation of its strategic plan which focuses on innovative proprietary products and specialized areas of medicine.

The team from Clifford Chance was led by partner Guillermo Guardia (pictured) and included José María Vilaseca, Juan Cuerva, Cristina González, Manel Santilari, Francisco Ruiz, Begoña Barrantes and Fernando Escribano.

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advised the buyer Towa Pharmaceutical on this deal with a team led by partner Monica Weimann.
