Cerejeira advises MDS Group on insurance sector acquisitions
Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão has advised MDS Group on the acquisition of two companies in the insurance sector. The law firm has provided legal consulting services to MDS Group, which operates in the insurance brokerage market, during the acquisition process of all shares in the insurance brokerage company Ilídio Maia Casais S.A., and the acquisition of all social shares in the insurance mediation company Bónus – Mediação de Seguros, Lda, based in Lisbon and Funchal, respectively.
The advisory services
According to the law firm, the advisory services covered the entire M&A process, from the preliminary phase of advising investors during the legal due diligences carried out, to the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of the transaction documentation. The M&A operation was led by the Corporate partner, Pedro da Costa Mendes (pictured), and was supported, among others, by Gonçalo Cerejeira Namora (senior associate) and João Gutierres (senior associate).
